Gus Van Sant’s film Milk starring Sean Penn is being raved as one of the best films of 08. Sean Penn plays Harvey Milk, the first openly gay man to make it to office. He is opposite of Josh Brolin that plays the man that assassinates Harvey Milk. Both actors were sensational as were co-stars James Franco and Emile Hirsch. The cinematography is the film was great. You really had that 70s feel to the film. This film in my opinion took too long to be made, however I am glad that Gus Van Sant was the one to film it. This was one of his best films. I give this film a grade of an A.
