What Just Happened
This film star Robert De Niro who plays one of Hollywood’s top Producers. What seems to be this extravagant job, is really a lot of dirty work behind the scenes. I really like the perspective of the film. What we perceive of the movie business is glamour, we think this is the greatest field to work in. What the film shows is egotistic filmmakers and actors being told what to do by business types who have no background in film to begin with. Then these filmmakers are trying to be creative, others are trying to sensor him. This was the perfect film for De Niro at this time. He is no longer a bad ass. Really cool film and excellent direction from Barry Levinson. My only problem with the film is the side relationships with the main character’s broken family relationships. I felt that they did not flow with the movie. Otherwise, this movie was hilarious. I give this film a B-.
