Movies are Life
We all watch movies for the pure sake of entertainment. Film is the vehicle that takes us away from the stresses of our own lives. Here we can live through another person. Here, we experience joy or even gain new stresses from the viewpoint of a character in a film. We learn vast amounts of information through the use of film. Film is also a way the view beauty. The combination of scenes in a film with the use of the perfect song or score can elevate the viewing experience. Finally, filmmaking is an art. After a film, we get to make our own opinions of the film. The beauty of it all is that we can love or hate a movie regardless of what Ebert and Roeper thinks. We get to make our own decisions based on the film. I have loved movies that many critics hated. Those guys can’t tell me what to like!
